Our client an International removals company are looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join their team at their Hertfordshire branch, to produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines for the month end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and other control accounts. The Management Accountant plays a key role in the control, management and improvement of all accounting processes, contributing significantly to the development of the business.
As the Management Accountant, you will be liaising with auditors to ensure annual audit is carried out correctly, assisting in the preparation of company’s budget and developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, and statutory organizations such as HMRC.
We’re keen to speak to professionals who have previous sales ledger / accounts receivable experience, a minimum of 5 years previous work experience in an accounting role and will ideally be AAT Level 4 qualified.
Main Duties of the Management Accountant:
Preparation and submission of quarterly Sales & VAT returns, reconciling returns to control accounts and Sales
Preparing monthly journals for depreciation, prepayments, accruals, etc.
Compiling and interpreting cash flows positions
Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
Analyzing change and advising accordingly
Other ad-hoc duties as required by your manager
Skills & Experience require for the Management Accountant:
Have a good knowledge of the legal requirements for collections
Excellent communication skills
Numerate and articulate
