Logistic Aide Ukraine platform launched

Logistic Aide Ukraine

A not-for-profit online platform, Logistic Aide Ukraine, has been launched to help facilitate logistical aid to Ukraine.

In response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, Validaide launched Logistic Aide Ukraine, with the aim of connecting logistics suppliers with relief groups providing humanitarian aid in the Ukraine region.

Validaide has arranged the connections so far, introducing a global Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) searching for a warehouse for medical products to warehouse providers in Poland, but the aim for the future is for parties to be able to contact each other directly on the website. So far, they have received requests for:

  • Air freight for relief goods from the United States into Europe (e.g., Germany/Poland)
  • Road freight from Europe to the Ukraine area (mainly Poland, which is becoming the main hub for humanitarian aid)
  • Warehousing in Poland
  • Transport into Ukraine

Eelco de Jong, Validaide Co-Founder and MD said: “The matchmaking has so far been facilitated by Validaide with staff volunteering their time. We are at the beginning of this process, but we envision that moving forward the different parties will be able to find each other directly from the logistic-aide-ukraine.org website. The goal of this initiative is to help ensure humanitarian aid gets delivered.”

The website is simple and provides a forum where you can ask for support and search logistics providers, or you can offer support and look for organisations who need it. In addition, Logistic Aide Ukraine seeks to give relevant information on humanitarian logistics, such as border crossing conditions.

“We must unite to support our friends and colleagues in Ukraine with actions, not only words, as much as we can,” said Emma Murray, Founder and CEO of Meantime Communications. “The logistics community has so much to offer to tangibly help, we are proud to be part of that community and to support this initiative.”
