Vantage compliance & Mitigation founder Carsten Primdal joins the team at My Logistics Magazine

Carsten-Primdal_PRINT-5109Carsten Primdal is the founder of Vantage compliance & Mitigation, an offshore supply chain consultancy specialised in assisting businesses from Europe, USA, Japan, Australia and elsewhere in risk mitigation and compliance regarding their Chinese supply chain operations.

He holds a M.Sc. in Economics and International Business from Copenhagen Business School, Copenhagen, Denmark, and in 2002 he was a awarded a €120.000 scholarship by the European Union to participate in the 18 months full immersion Executive Training Programme in Japan (ETP Japan).

During the last +15 years working with and in Asia in corporate compliance, supply chain and risk mitigating professional services, Carsten has developed a perspective and understanding of the challenges faced by companies dealing with and in China and Asia.

Since establishing his own business in Hong Kong in 2007 he has assisted global brands such as ALDI super markets (Aldi HK sourcing office) and Lindt & Sprüngli, with their supply chain issues in China. In addition hereto, Carsten has successfully delivered projects in Hong Kong, Japan, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Spain and Denmark.

In 2015, Carsten’s first book was published “Red Flag – Your guide to risk management when buying in China” – a book containing information from his own experience and with practical tips and tricks on how to mitigate risks when buying in China.

Amongst others Carsten has been speaking at University of Southern Queensland and the Danish Chamber of Commerce in South China, on topics ranging from “The challenges of quality assurance in China and the food sector” over “Corporate Social Responsibility in the China Supply Chain” and ” -The pitfalls of sourcing in China (and how to mitigate risk)”.
