Jobs in Logistics

This week at Red Recruit, we have rounded up some of our logistics, and removals jobs. CEO of Red Recruit, Caroline Seear, gives insight into the current recruiting climate, and in the office, we’re getting ready for the World Cup 2022 with our office sweepstakes!

If you are interested in any of the following jobs or know someone who is, we’d love to speak with you. Take a look below and please contact us if you have any questions! For a complete list of available logistics jobs, visit our Job Board.

This week has seen a noticeable slowdown in the recruitment side of Shipping and Freight Forwarding. Well, I expect that’s no surprise to everyone in the industry. Fuel prices have risen again throughout Europe, and the strong dollar has had the inevitable effect of slowing down the world economies and, of course, goods being moved. Hopefully, we are not returning to some of the low points when containers weren’t moving at all for months on end. I do feel like it’s week 29 in the Big Brother House but I’m sure things will improve.

Clients are working flat out. Would that be with the last of the containers coming into the warehouses for Christmas? On the candidate front, it’s an ideal time to throw your hat in the ring for a career move. The market is still buoyant, and there are many opportunities out there for people with Shipping, Removals, Fine Art Shipping and Freight Forwarding experience. We’ve had a number of entry-level roles, something I have not seen for some time, as well as clients looking for people with transferable skills to join them. Which, in itself, is quite refreshing.
