Leamington Yodel delivery driver Sarwan Singh, is celebrating 40 years of delivering with the independent parcel carrier.
Sarwan first joined the business in 1982 as a delivery driver for the Leamington depot, where he was delivering parcels to homes across Oxfordshire. Sarwan has shown hard work and dedication over the years and regularly provides training to new drivers due to the fantastic customer feedback he receives.
Sarwan has also recently won an Institute of Couriers’ National Courier Award for delivering over a million parcels. The National Courier Awards are operated by the Institute of Couriers to commemorate the best businesses and people across the industry, with corporate and individual awards for the most dedicated service.
In celebration of Sarwan’s achievement, his colleagues presented him with £1,000 in Very.co.uk shopping vouchers.
Warren Fletcher, Depot Manager at Yodel said: “Sarwan is a highly valued member of the team at Leamington who is popular with colleagues and customers alike. He always makes time to support others and takes pride in ensuring everything is done to the highest standard. We are really proud of his incredible achievements over an impressive 40-year career.”
Delivery driver, Sarwan Singh, also added: “My colleagues and I have always worked together to do the best job possible, and I have enjoyed how the job has developed over my 40 years here. I am always meeting new people with interesting stories and no one day is ever the same. I’ve made life-long friends whilst being here, who I will always keep in contact with.”
