Removals Accounts Assistant – North West London – VR/21668
The Company & Role:
Our client is a Removals & Storage Company based in London and they are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Duties of the Accounts Assistant:
- Input and reconcile card, cheque and BACS receipts in Moveware and XERO
- Setting up new storage customer accounts
- Raise ad-hoc storage invoices and credit notes
- Monitor and investigate customer accounts for irregularities
- Send statements and invoices to customers
- Monitor and send refunds to credit customers
- Dealing with customer and supplier queries
- Process supplier invoices, input on XERO and prepare for payment
- Check and receive authorisation for purchase invoices
- Petty Cash reconciliation
- Processing card receipts
- Manage customer Direct Debit mandates, processing and reconciling direct debit receipts
- Inputting one-off card payments into XERO
- Removals staff hours transferred onto payroll file throughout the month
- Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing with customers
- Take customer payments by Debit Cards, Direct Debits or Cash
Requirements of the Accounts Assistant:
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Bookkeeping experience would be highly desirable
- IT confident
- System usage of XERO would be highly desirable
- Very organised, attention to detail, tidy, meticulous and very thorough
- Able to deal with a broad range of tasks related to accounts
In Return:
The successful Accounts Assistant will receive a salary of £27,000. Working hours will be 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break.
