Our Client is one of the worlds leading global logistics providers, offering worldwide air and ocean freight, contract logistics and supply chain management. Due to increased demand they are currently looking for an Air Export Operator to join their team in Glasgow. The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and proactive Export service to all customers and related service providers with exceptional customer service. This is a full time, permanent position, offering a salary in the region of 24- 26k. The company actively promotes continual training and career development.
As Air Export Operator youll be arranging collections, producing shipping documentation and preparing export entries in line with HMRC regulations, posting flights, job file invoicing ad cost control, as well as managing email communications and query resolution, on a day to day basis. You’ll also be involved in sales support and customer visits.
We’re keen to speak to people who have been working as an Air Export Operator / Export Clerk, or who have experience of airfreight within the shipping / logistics industry. Good operational know-how of airfreight export procedures would be a distinct advantage.
Successful Air Export Operators will be organised by nature and will thrive in a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere. You’ll be computer literate, have excellent attention to detail skills, as well as be good with numbers and a confident communicator, having excellent relationship building skills with customers and suppliers alike.
Air Export Operator duties include:
- Monitor and action generic email boxes and respond in a timely manner.
- Arranging collection from vendors.
- Utilising ProCarS to produce shipping documentation i.e. Mawb, Hawb
- Preparation of export entries in accordance with UK HMRC regulations.
- Posting flights, Job file invoicing and Cost control.
- Ensure all queries and complaints are investigated and responded to promptly, both from external and internal customers / suppliers.
- Support sales and CSM with customer visits as requested.
