Commercial Executive – Kent (England)

Our Client is one of the worlds leading providers of project logistics management. With offices across six continents, they have global presence, putting them in a unique position to offer tailor-made solutions. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Executive to deal with all aspects related to the receipt, production and response to major quotation requests and Invitations to Tender (ITTs). On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be compiling rates, assisting with reviewing rates, vendor management, management of global sales literature and responsibility for the writing and production of responses to ITTs including the compilation of technical and commercial data.

This is a full time, permanent position, working as part of a small team based in the Paddock Wood, UK office. In return you’ll receive a salary up to £35k depending on experience.

As Commercial Executive, you will be meeting with clients and colleagues in a commercial environment, which may offer the opportunity to travel overseas and throughout the UK. Some home working could also be offered for the right candidate.

We’re keen to speak to people educated to degree level with logistics industry knowledge, who are diligent, detail-focused, methodical and organised.

Successful Commercial Executives are confident communicators with excellent written English and grammar. You’ll need to be a proficient user of Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as have an understanding of Office 365 collaboration tools, such as SharePoint, Planner etc. It goes without saying; you’ll need first class customer service skills and be self-motivated with excellent time-management skills.

Commercial Executive duties include:

  • Liaise with vendors and clients to collate and distribute information
  • Support internal clients with the creation of relevant technical documents and marketing materials
  • Manage a calendar of upcoming work to enable effective management of multiple deadlines and tenders
  • Work with Business Development to develop win themes, and analyse expected competitors
  • Feed-back to senior management on initiatives to improve likelihood of winning specific bids
  • Begin work on any new/bespoke sales literature
  • Assist in enhancing Bid Process and Contract Check-List procedures
  • Be involved in the framework for completing bids efficiently
  • Review current bid structures and modules and assist in all possible enhancements
  • Record risk of proposal by working with Compliance
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of all sales literature for the wider Group of Companies
  • Be a global champion of corporate branding, providing a clear persuasive approach articulating the companys message
  • For wins, create summary of operational requirements to Operations
  • Work with Operations to review performance and create statistics
