Our client, who provide international freight solutions, are currently seeking a Customs Compliance Manager for their team based in Cheshire.
The role of the Customs Compliance Manager is to ensure that all operations and activities within the company adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
You will play a crucial role in promoting ethical conduct, risk mitigation, and maintaining the highest level of compliance across the organization.
Main duties of the Customs Compliance Manager:
Work alongside other departments to develop and implement effective compliance strategies.
Deal with compliance incidents, complaints, or violations, and suggest solutions or improvements.
Build strong working relationships with external regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, promoting a culture of ethical behaviour and awareness.
The successful Customs Compliance Manager will have experience working in customs compliance management within the Freight or Logistics industry.
You will need to have strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to freight transportation and logistics.
Knowledge and experience required:
Experience of Multimodal operations (inbound / outbound).
Proven experience in customs clearance and compliance.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of import and export.
