Our client, who specialise in the storage, transport and installation of art, are currently seeking a Driver Technician for their team based in London.
As the Driver Technician, you will be working in a crew of two to safely transporting cases of artwork, packing and unpacking artwork to be transported via Air, Road and Sea – training will be provided.
Other duties of the Driver Technician:
Assisting colleagues, suppliers and customers resolve any security issues
Ensure all administration and documentation is completed, and schedules are met
Install / de-install works of art ranging from different weights, sizes and type – training on specialist lifting and hanging equipment will be provided
Representing the company in a professional manner while liaising with clients
Communicating clearly with internal teams at all stages of each job
The successful Driver Technician will ideally have some industry experience, and strong knowledge / experience of how to properly handle fragile goods.
Having excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of the public are good attributes for this role.
We are keen to speak with candidates who enjoy working closely with others for periods of time, as you may be required to either stay on a company vehicle, or in a locally booked B&B or hotel with other technicians accompanying you.
Key qualifications and experience required:
A full driving licence – HGV2 is required
Having a Class 1 licence would be an advantage, but is not necessary as training will be provided
A 5-year trackable background with a clean criminal record
