Our transport and logistics Client is a global industry leader, providing and managing supply chain solutions. As a direct result of this they are currently looking to appoint a Full Loads EU Export Operator to join their team in Purfleet. You’ll be managing full load export roadfreight operations from start to finish, including using unaccompanied shipping routes from the UK. This vacancy is offered on a full-time permanent basis, in return for a salary in the region of £27k.
Day to day duties of the Full Loads EU Export Operator include liaising with warehouses, overseas offices, hauliers, drivers and clearance agents in the UK and Benelux countries. You’ll be ensuring compatibility and raising export / shipping documentation.
We’re keen to speak to skilled people with experience from having worked as a freight operator, especially those with good geographical knowledge of the UK and Benelux countries and familiar with the roadfreight processes of this region.
Successful Full Loads EU Export Operators will have a good operational know-how of shipping procedures, excellent relationship building skills, with customers and suppliers alike, and an eye for identifying new business opportunities, then upselling the services on offer. You’ll be proficient at prioritising your workload and recognise this as important within a busy operations team. Your attention to detail skills will be second to none.
Duties of the Full Loads EU Export Operator:
- Managing roadfreight booking process with customers and suppliers.
- Obtaining forecasts from Export customers
- Raise accurate operational documentation such as Load sheets, Certificates of Origin and EUR1s with great attention to detail.
- Administration and processing of shipments with accuracy
- Creating transport documents (Consignent notes, CMR, ATR, BL, EUR1, etc.)
- Dangerous goods compatibility checks
- Making crossing bookings (Ferry, Eurotunnel, etc.)
- Making sure all collections arrive in a timely manner
- Preparing drivers files
