Our client, a leading Logistics company is currently seeking a EU Roadfreight Export Operator for their team in Dartford.
Your role as the EU Roadfreight Export Operator is to assist with the smooth running of the Cargoplus export operations.
You will be receiving bookings from clients, carrying out dangerous goods compatibility checks, preparing all drivers files, and ensuring all collections arrive in a timely manner.
Main duties of the EU Roadfreight Export Operator:
Organise collections with both internal and external partners.
Organise Customs clearances.
Chasing export trailers from previous week.
Deal with the administration and processing of shipment
Check each shipment for valid VAT / EORI numbers.
Liaise with Export customers, asking for their forecast.
Create transport documentation such as consignment notes, BL, EUR1, CMR, ATR, etc.
Make sure feedback is provided to customers via phone, mail and EDI.
Ensure all files are complete and passed onto the accounts department for invoicing.
Deal with all filing and ensure all administration information is correct.
You must have excellent communications skills as on a day-to-day basis, you will be required to liaise with the other departments such as overseas offices, Customer Services, drivers, hauliers and clearance agents.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an international and European road freight operations environment.
Experience required for the EU Roadfreight Export Operator:
Good commercial awareness
Knowledge of Customs, Import and Export
Geographical knowledge
Knowledge of Transport legislation
Strong educational background
Good IT knowledge
