Our client is a provider of international imports and exports to and from the UK, and they are actively looking for an experienced EU Roadfreight Planner for their team in Dover. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a salary up to £30k depending on experience.
We’d love to speak to candidates who have recent planning experience of EU vehicles.
Successful Roadfreight Planners will have a good operational know-how of shipping procedures, excellent relationship building skills; with customers, suppliers and colleagues alike. You’ll be proficient at prioritising your workload. Your attention to detail skills will be second to none.
Duties of the EU Roadfreight Planner:
Running structured European services
First point of contact for network and overseas partners
Controlling the arrival of cargo into the hub ensuring the freight is available to be delivered on time
Arranging deliveries with customers and Partners
Communicating with Customers (external and internal) and Partners
Understanding the financials of the service and find more profitable means to operate and making the optimum commercial decisions to reduce real cost
Looking for cost saving with COT’s / DOT’s and routing options – Maximising operating efficiency
Planning of groupage departures
Ensuring the product functions correctly and ‘works’ to deliver up the required service level
Essential Experience required for the EU Roadfreight Planner:
You will need to have at least 2 years’ experience
Knowledge of tariffs & Incoterms
Experience of inputting into CHIEF/ CDS
