Our client a provider of international imports and exports to and from the UK is currently seeking a European Roadfreight Planning Manager for their team based in Kent, to help lead the FTL Fleet Department and ensure customers throughout the UK and EU receive the highest level of service.
As the European Roadfreight Planning Manager, you will manage the fleet performance, provide weekly reports to the planners and Senior Management, and ensure collections and deliveries are carried out correctly per customer’s instructions.
European Roadfreight Planning Manager Duties:
Control of all aspects of the daily operation of a busy FTL Fleet department
Communication between office, customers, sub-contractors and drivers and any other parties involved in the process.
Responsible for profit & loss for the Fleet Department
Complete UK customer and Group tenders
Supervise the training of new staff members and ensure they progress to the required level of expertise.
Provide holiday and sickness Cover for the Planning Desks
General administration duties
We are keen to speak with candidates who have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the industry, proven experience in a people facing role, and experience leading a team or working towards a Level 3 management (or equivalent qualification).
Requirements of the European Roadfreight Planning Manager:
Commercial awareness of EU Export and Import pricing
Able to compile and collate data.
IT literate especially with Microsoft Office packages
Able to communicate in another European language would be an advantage.
