We are recruiting for our client, a Transport and Logistics company who offer transport services globally by Air, Road and Sea They are currently seeking an Export Planner for their team in Essex.
Your role as the Export Planner will be to plan full and part loads from the UK to Europe, you will be responsible for planning collections and deliveries.
On a day-to-day basis, you will arrange transport of cargo with approves hauliers, deal with customs issues, and prepare correct documentation.
Other duties of the Export Planner:
Liaise with other company offices in the UK and abroad
Communicate with drivers and hauliers
Instruct the warehouses to load cargo to vehicles
Combine part loads with groupage, ensuring the highest level of service expected by customers
Check costs and negotiate rates
Create CMRs
General Administration
You will communicate efficiently with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other offices via use of VDU’s, telephone, etc., so having excellent communication skills is a good attribute for this role.
The successful Export Planner will ideally have previous experience in trailer planning, knowledge of the Road Freight industry, and good financial awareness.
