Freight Operative / Administrator – Essex – VR/22220
Our client, a specialist in the Freight Forwarding, Transportation Industry and Logistics industries, is looking for an experienced Freight Operative / Administrator to join their team in Basildon.
The purpose of this role is to assist the European Account Manager, working on a very busy key account. This is a challenging role providing an excellent opportunity for career progression for the right candidate.
Freight Operative / Administrator duties include:
- Assisting the European Account Manager in the execution of their duties
- Manage carrier updates
- Support origins with booking and operational issues and any queries in a timely manner
Skills & Experience required from Freight Operative / Administrator:
- Experience of Freight Forwarding Export / Imports
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- High level accuracy and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload
- Must be a team player
- Have commercial awareness
- Must be flexible with regard to working hours
Working hours will be Monday to Friday; 08.30h – 17.30h. There may also be some requirement for out of hours duties on occasion.
In return, the successful Freight Operative / Administrator will receive a salary package including benefits.
