Our client, a well-established international logistics and freight forwarding company, is currently seeking an experienced Import Customs Clerk to join their growing operations team based in Ipswich.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage import customs entries using the CDS system
Handle customs clearance for seafreight shipments
Liaise with clients, HMRC, and internal teams to ensure smooth and compliant import operations
Utilize Cargowise (preferred) or similar freight software for documentation and tracking
Support wider operations team with general forwarding tasks when required
Work with multi-modal shipments including air, sea, and road
Export knowledge is a bonus but not essential
Essential Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in import customs clearance
Strong working knowledge of CDS for customs entries
Experience with seafreight import processes
Proficient in Cargowise or similar freight systems (preferred)
Solid understanding of freight forwarding operations
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
