Deep Sea Import Clerk – Liverpool – VR/21959P
Our client, a leading independent freight forwarder; is currently looking for an experienced Deep Sea Import Clerk to join their team.
Duties for the Deep Sea Import Clerk:
- Liaising with overseas agents / customers / hauliers
- Receiving pre-alerts from overseas agents
- Creating files both manually and on the computer system
- Advising customers of arrival of cargo into the UK
- Planning loads and sending load lists to agents
- Checking manifests once received
- Receiving and checking relevant import documentation and passing on to shipping lines
- Customs clearance
- Planning and arranging deliveries
- Charging files
- Passing purchase invoices and dealing with any queries
Experience needed to apply for a Deep Sea Import Clerk:
- Experience in handling shipments from start to finish, including quotations
- Computer literate
In return, the successful Deep Sea Import Clerk will receive a salary according to skills and experience.
