Our client is a provider of worldwide shipping solutions, and they are currently looking for an Inside Sales consultant to join their Sales team in Basildon, to follow up all quotes within 24 hours. To register feedback within the report, providing rate, competition information and anything relevant and to quote all spot rates using Phoenix. Quotes to be accurate, timely and follow the provided SOP.
The successful Inside Sales Consultant will have a good understanding within the Freight forwarding industry and excellent communication/customer service skills as you will be negotiating rate with suppliers, actively communicating/engaging with sales representatives and following up on quotes given seeking clients feedback on how competitive the companies rates are.
Duties of an Inside Sales Consultant:
Sales Calls – To submit sales calls into LINQ, including sales leads, pipelines and tradelane development
Tradelane Development – Upon request, to complete necessary trade lane reports on request of management team
FCL pricing – To quote FCL pricing, within Phoenix
Tariffs – Set up, maintain and update import and export tariffs
External Functions – There may be occasions where you are requested/offered to attend functions outside of the office, such as London Freight Club & Client Visits.
Experience required for an Inside Sales Consultant:
Able to be flexible, approachable and understanding to satisfy customer needs
Competent with general freight forwarding requirements and procedures
Minimum GCSE standard in English and Maths (or equivalent) essential
Able to work well within a team
