Freight Key Account Manager – VR/22244

Our client, an international logistics and freight forwarding company, are offering an exciting opportunity for a Freight Key Account Manager to join their team in Heston.

Duties of the Freight Key Account Manager:

  • Developing strong relationships with major key clients and knowing what their needs are, as well as bringing in new clients
  • Resolving any issues/complaints
  • Making changes/improvements
  • Managing communications between key clients and internal teams
  • Contract negotiation and establishing the performance timeline
  • Dealing with internal and external budgets
  • Working with various departments within the company to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and client needs are being met
  • Liaising with the sales team to maximise profits by up-selling/cross-selling
  • Account reports on progress, goals and quarterly initiatives
  • Analysing client data in order to provide customer relationship management

We are looking to speak with people who have the following:

  • 4-5 years’ experience in sales, management, key account management or something similar, with the ability to multitask and manage more than one account
  • Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals
  • Logistics/Ecommerce/Supply Chain experience – advantage
  • Understanding of key clients and their position within the industry
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to mentor, lead and build interpersonal relationships
  • Eager to expand the company with new sales and clients
  • Ability to analyse data and sales statistics and create better solutions from the results
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft programs – in particular Excel

The successful Freight Key Account Manager will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 17.30pm with the option of partly working from home. You will be offered a salary of £35-40k depending on experience.
