About the Role
Due to continued business growth, our client, a well-established and respected Freight Forwarder, is looking to recruit an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their busy Birmingham office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with experience managing import, export and cross trade shipments who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service and working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring a smooth and compliant service for customers.
Main Responsibilities
Manage import, export and cross trade shipments from start to finish
Prepare quotations and pricing for customer shipments
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas agents and suppliers
Arrange collections, deliveries and transport solutions
Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with customs regulations
Input and maintain shipment data using CargoWise
Process supplier invoices and liaise with the accounts department where required
Resolve any shipment or transport issues promptly and professionally
Provide regular shipment updates and deliver exceptional customer service throughout
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within Freight Forwarding or Logistics
Experience handling import, export and cross trade shipments
Good understanding of CDS customs procedures and Incoterms
CargoWise experience would be highly advantageous
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
