Our client, a Transport and Logistics company who offer transport services globally by Air, Road and Sea, are currently seeking an Ocean Export Gateway Operator to join their team in Essex.
The role of the Ocean Export Gateway Operator is to arrange the carriage of goods from various worldwide destinations with subcontractors.
You will be completing Export documentation and operational process using the company’s in-house systems.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be liaising with other branches, obtaining relevant information, and ensuring all their needs are met.
Other duties of the Ocean Export Gateway Operator:
Build strong relationships with core vendors.
Deliver an excellent level of customer service to clients.
Keep track of market trends and suggest recommendations for improvements.
Ensure the operational workflow is kept organised.
Deal with all administrative tasks when required.
Ensure all shipments are correctly costed.
Resolve any issues within the branch.
The successful Ocean Export Gateway Operator will have 2-3 years’ experience working within the industry and previous experience of Ocean Freight Exports.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have good commercial awareness.
Skills & experience required for the role:
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Good organisation and problem-solving skills.
IT literate – ideally strong knowledge using Microsoft Office.
