Road Freight Operator – Essex – VR/21890
The Company & Role:
Our client, a leading global logistics service provider based in Essex, is looking for a Road Freight Operator to join their team.
Road Freight Operator duties include:
- Handling European groupage services, predominantly import.
- Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination.
- Dealing with both international and national shipments.
- Liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers.
Skills and Experience required for the Road Freight Operator role:
- Must have a good understanding of European road freight with 1-2 years experience.
- Capable of manually calculating costs and charges / revenue manually – a good understanding of taxable kilos is a must.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.
