Our client is an international logistics company, specialised in international, 3rd-party and freight forwarding business, and they are currently looking for a Sea Freight Export Clerk to join their team in Chelmsford, Essex.
As the Sea Freight Export Clerk, you will be working on a very busy Export desk, and have a minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role.
Duties of the Sea Freight Export Clerk:
- Communication with clients, shipping lines and overseas offices/agents
- Handling Sea Freight consignments for Exports
- High volumes of data entry on in-house IT systems
- Arranging FCL/LCL loading plans/manifests/bookings & customs processes
- Raising & passing invoices
- Dealing with warehouse operatives
Skills & Qualifications required for the Sea Freight Export Clerk:
- Minimum of two years’ Sea freight experience
- Attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload
- Must be a team player
- Have commercial awareness
- Must be flexible with their working hours
