Sea Freight Export Clerk – Chelmsford (England)

Our client is an international logistics company, specialised in international, 3rd-party and freight forwarding business, and they are currently looking for a Sea Freight Export Clerk to join their team in Chelmsford, Essex.

As the Sea Freight Export Clerk, you will be working on a very busy Export desk, and have a minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role.

Duties of the Sea Freight Export Clerk:

  • Communication with clients, shipping lines and overseas offices/agents
  • Handling Sea Freight consignments for Exports
  • High volumes of data entry on in-house IT systems
  • Arranging FCL/LCL loading plans/manifests/bookings & customs processes
  • Raising & passing invoices
  • Dealing with warehouse operatives

Skills & Qualifications required for the Sea Freight Export Clerk:

  • Minimum of two years’ Sea freight experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload
  • Must be a team player
  • Have commercial awareness
  • Must be flexible with their working hours
