Sea / Road Freight Operator – Remote Working – Battlesbridge (England)

Our client based in Battlesbridge offers transport and related services by land, sea, rail and air around the world, and they are currently looking for a Sea / Road Freight Operator to join their team. You will be required to work on both imports and exports, mainly on Sea Freight but a little on Road Freight as well. This is primarily a remote working position, however you must live locally for training purposes.

As a Sea / Road Freight Operator, you will have knowledge of shipping processes for both import and export, and knowledge of customs processes. You will also be able to self-motivate and time manage.

The successful Sea / Road Freight Operator will receive a salary depending on experience.

Duties of the Sea / Road Freight Operator may include:

  • Quoting
  • Setting up new customers
  • Booking in freight with shipping lines
  • Completing paperwork for sailing
  • Liaising with other offices
  • Arranging customs clearance
  • Preparing Bills of Lading
  • Port health checks
  • Paying shipping lines and getting release
  • Booking deliveries
  • Invoicing for shipments
