Our client, a leading logistics provider and respected freight forwarder, is looking for a Seafreight Export Operator for their site in the Greenhithe area. This vacancy is offered on a full-time permanent basis. As the Seafreight Export Operator, day to day duties will involve dealing with companies worldwide, liaising with overseas agents / customers / hauliers, controlling all aspects of Seafreight exports from start to finish and everything in between.
We’d love to speak to enthusiastic people who have start to finish Sea Freight Export experience or have been working as a Seafreight Export Operator / Export Clerk / Export Coordinator, etc. or people who have a good operational know-how of export procedures, excellent customer service skills and experience of LCL and FCL from a freight / logistics background. Being a proficient communicator; in person, on the phone and in writing and having commercial sense are vital attributes.
Duties of the Seafreight Export Clerk:
Control all Seafreight Export activities on a start to finish basis
Ensure all Consignments are loaded onto computer system prior to arrival / departure
Keep customers fully informed of anything which may cause delay to a shipment
Develop constructive relationships with key customers and key suppliers
Experience Required for the Seafreight Export Clerk:
No customs clearance knowledge needed
Able to work and meet deadlines
Computer literate
A pro-active attitude
