Our award winning logistics provider Client, serves importers, exporters and freight forwarders, delivering the most cost effective solutions, whilst striving to provide the very best in customer care. Due to increased demand, they are currently looking to appoint a Senior Multi Modal Operator. On a day-to-day basis you’ll predominantly be dealing with sea-freight movements as well as some multi-modal operations, liaising with customers and customs authorities, coordinating customs clearance operations from start to finish. In return, you’ll receive a salary up to £35k, depending on experience.
We’d love to speak to enthusiastic people who have strong experience working as a Freight Forwarding Operator, Customs Clerk / Customs Coordinator, or have good working knowledge of CHIEF.
The best Senior Multi Modal Operators have good operational know-how of customs clearance procedures, SPS and Port Health experience as well as the ability to support your team. You’ll be organised by nature and will thrive in a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere. Being computer literate, having excellent attention to detail skills, as well as being good with numbers and a confident communicator are imperative attributes.

Senior Multi Modal Operator duties include:
- Prepare documentation for import customs clearance, process and monitor import clearances
- Liaising with customers and consignees, Customs Authorises and Port Health
Experience Required:
- Import customs clearance experience
- Port Health experience
- Good knowledge of the various customs procedures
- Good knowledge of CHIEF
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office, including Excel and databases
- Strong communications and organisational skills
- Strong work ethics with focus on attention to detail and accuracy
