Senior Sales Executive – South East (remote)
Our Client is an International Freight Forwarding company providing international and logistical needs from 3PL to sea, road and air freight.
Due to increased global growth, they are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to be part of their UK sales team, covering the South East region, selling all modes of freight.
Some attendance to the office based in Essex or Heathrow will be required, but informal flexible working arrangements (e.g., working from home) would be considered.
The role will require frequent travel across the South region, therefore a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is required.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm (inclusive of one-hour unpaid lunch).
Salary: £45,000.00 – £50,000.00 per annum (depending on experience) + £5,000 per annum car allowance + competitive bonus structure based on targets and company growth.
Senior Sales Executive key roles and responsibilities:
Understand and execute the departments vision of good business development
To support the Head of Sales in implementing strategy, activity and reporting whenever required.
To support the Head of Sales with specific tasks centred on our efforts in the South.
To provide guidance and help to the sales team, in the absence of the Head of Sales.
Sell the company’s services at the best possible price by calling, meeting, and building a portfolio of clients
Ensure minimal risk is undertaken when negotiating new deals and contracts.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships with new and existing customers.
Sell services by meeting customers offsite at least 3 days per week.
Increase sales in line with targets and KPI’s. Report and record sales pipeline activities.
Prepare reports for prospects and pipeline profitability.
Carry out due diligence checks in respect of new customers
Skills, experience and competencies required from the Senior Sales Executive:
Proven and extensive track record in Sales, with experience of meeting or exceeding sales targets (ideally within the same or similar industry).
Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and driving new business.
Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions quickly and effectively.
Highly persistent, resilient and adaptable.
Motivated self-starter and able to work independently.
Able to prioritise own workload but also be able to work as part of a team
Full understanding of The Company’s services and clients’ needs
Able to network effectively, and build, maintain and manage client and professional relationships.
Outstanding communication skills, and ability to deliver engaging presentations/pitches to clients.
Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills
