Our client, a leading distribution company, are looking to recruit a Shipping Administrator to join their team based in Essex, to initially be the support for the shipping department. In return, you will receive a salary of up to £23K DOE, 20 days annual leave plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
The successful Shipping Administrator will have excellent Shipping knowledge & experience as well as first class communication skills, as you will be required to liaise with customers, book DHL collections and answer the telephone in a polite and professional manner.
The ideal candidate will be keen to learn, hardworking, well organised and have the ability to proactively manage their workload.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be processing incoming invoices for freight and other associated costs, updating vessel arrival info and logging insurance policies.
We’re keen to speak to candidates who have the ability to keep a positive attitude in busy periods.
Duties of a Shipping Administrator:
Post – to include producing mailing labels and sending out samples
Logging and distributing shipping documentation
Inputting invoices onto Sage
Data input, filing and archiving
Other ad hoc duties as they arise to support the business
Experience required for a Shipping Administrator:
Knowledge of Sage, Bistrack and Inco Terms
I.T confident (word, excel, outlook)
Good Maths and English
Good time management
