Our client, a leading customs brokerage, are currently looking for a Team Leader to join their team based in Felixstowe, to oversee the process and day to day requirements of all the Customs Operators, ensuring the entries and admin tasks are completed in timely manner and building relationships with all team members and customers that the team oversee.
This is a pivotal role that requires attention to detail and being able to think on your feet how to improve processes and be able to navigate through the daily rigors with planning and a proactiveness to see and fix issues before it impacts the final Customer.
We are keen to speak with proactive and confident candidates who has knowledge of HMRC and different routings of Customs entries as well as strong communication skills.
Duties of the Team Leader
Completing SFD / SAD Customs entries daily in line with volumes received
Aid the Admin Clerk with ensuring the mailbox is kept tidy and work up to date
Using CCS Airfreight system
Issuing Ducr’s and instructions to 3rd Party Express agents to clear
Sending Clearance details of to Customers and Hauliers within agreed time frames
Support the CFSP month end procedure
Customer Month end Document close off
Training Matrix and regular updates to ensure each member of staff is giving the relevant training.
