About the Role

Our client, a well-established and growing freight forwarding organisation, is seeking a Trainee Logistics Coordinator to join their specialist recyclables division.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to begin a career within a dynamic and fast-paced freight forwarding environment. The business forms part of a larger, expanding logistics group, providing global transport solutions across air, sea, and road freight.

What you’ll do:

You will join a supportive operational team and report directly to a supervisor, receiving ongoing training and development. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career within logistics, with clear opportunities for progression as the team and business continue to grow.

Support internal teams to maintain high service standards
Assist in identifying delays or operational issues and escalate where necessary
Contribute to process improvements alongside the Supervisor and wider team

What you need:

The successful candidate will be curious, proactive, and keen to understand processes, rather than simply follow them, as the team continues to evolve and improve operational efficiency.

Degree educated (2:1 or above) in any discipline
No prior freight forwarding experience required, but a genuine interest in logistics is essential
Strong communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities
Eager to learn, proactive, and willing to take ownership as you develop
A positive team player with a strong work ethic

Why you’ll love this role:

Salary of £25,000
