Our client, an international multi-modal transport operator for air, sea, and road freight, are currently looking for a Transport Clerk to join their team in West Thurrock, Essex, to plan with the customer services department, handle new bookings and brief/debrief all drivers. In return, you will receive a salary of up to £26K depending on experience.
The successful Transport Clerk will route and plan all domestic deliveries as well as update customers of any delays / ETA’s of shipments.
Duties of a Transport Clerk:
Handle telephone bookings
Process and log any compliance issues
Conflict resolution
Experience required for a Transport Clerk:
Experience with Transport/Logistics – ideal but not necessary
Knowledge of domestic haulage procedures
First class customer service and communication skills as well as being IT literate
