Warehouse Administrator – Airfreight/ERTS Customs – VR/21746
The Company & Role:
Our client, a Freight Forwarding solutions company, is currently looking for a Warehouse Administrator for their Airfreight/ERTS Customs department in Sunbury-on-Thames.
Duties of the Warehouse Administrator:
- Ensuring customs formalities are completed and funds are received prior to release of cargo
- Authorising release of cargo and instructing operations teams accordingly
- Understanding compliance and the customs bond procedures
- Utilising Inventory control system and shipment management system
- Coordinating between the Operations, Customs and Finance teams
- Providing trailer/unit manifests and arrival details for the Warehouse to upload to HMRC
- Ensuring goods are processed and declared at consignment level via C88 to HMRC
- Monitoring customs clearance and release
- Ensuring all duties and taxes are charged and paid for in accordance with our agreed terms
- Ensuring goods are not released without HMRC
- Maintaining warehouse inventory of cleared and non-cleared goods
Experience required for the Warehouse Administrator
- Good knowledge of the following key areas; Airfreight, ERTS Customs processes, Bonded Warehouse, Warehouse Management
- IT literate
- Driven and self-motivated
- Proactive problem-solving capability
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Able to work to deadlines and meet targets
- Excellent communication skills
- Team Player
The successful Warehouse Administrator will receive a salary circa £25k depending on experience.
