A new opportunity has arisen for an Ocean Freight Import / Export Customs Operator for our client based in Essex, who specialise in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Logistics.
You must have a minimum of 2 years experience within a similar role.

As the Ocean Import / Export Customs Operator, you will be able to manage the ocean import export process end to end.
You will also be building and developing strong working relationships with clients, reacting to any client requests and ensuring they are provided with first class customer service.
Main duties and responsibilities for the role of Ocean Import / Export Customs Operator
Maintain and develop relationships with clients.
To meet deadlines/requirements as per client requests.
Monitor supplier performance.
Good file management and attention to detail.
Prepare quotations in accordance with client’s request.
Assisting colleagues during staff absences / holidays including imports/exports
Encourage and implement “Best Practice” across the department.
Develop and maintain a commercial and “can do” attitude with all within the department and company.
The successful Ocean Import / Export Customs Operator will have good knowledge of Imports and Exports, with end to end experience gained in a freight forwarding environment.
