Our client, a well-known leading customs broker, are currently looking for an EDI Analyst for their team based in Felixstowe, to develop new interface mappings for new and existing clients. The main purpose of the role is to electronically automate as much of the process as possible.
As the EDI Analyst, you will collaborate with clients and internal staff to develop / test new or modified systems, provide advice and education to clients concerning EDI guidelines and capabilities as well as periodically review systems to ensure client needs are met; identifies possible modifications as required.
The successful EDI Analyst will have experience within an IT role, basic understanding and working knowledge of EDI formats and Internet functions, creative problem-solving skills required to design a system that meets client’s individual needs and a good level of literacy & numeracy.
Duties of the EDI Analyst:
Analyses and defines EDI requirements for clients, especially for needs and circumstances that are slightly unusual
Create, develop and produces mapping documents
Develop and maintain communication links with trading partners and to oversee integration of information
Keep own knowledge up to date regarding EDI and internet field technological developments
Performs other related duties as assigned
