Our client, an independent, international UK freight forwarder, is looking for an Export Seafreight Clerk to join their growing team in Liverpool.
The role entails a large amount of liaising with clients, shipping lines, other freight forwarders, hauliers and overseas partners as you resolve queries and convey delivery instructions.
As the Sea Freight Clerk, you will be planning & sending load lists to agents and receiving pre-alerts from overseas agents. You will also be passing purchase invoices, quoting rates and dealing with customs clearance.
We’re looking for a ‘Hands on’ candidate with a good operational know-how of export procedures, as well as excellent customer service skills and commercial sense. The ideal Export Seafreight Clerk will have 1-2 years’ experience in Sea Freight operations for a Freight Forwarder.
Duties of an Export Seafreight Clerk:
Creating files both manually and on the computer system
Receiving & checking relevant documentation, then passing on to shipping lines.
