Our client offers a wide range of freight, transportation and storage services, and they are currently looking for a Transport Planner to join their trailer department based in Folkestone.
As the Transport Planner, you will be assisting with import and export planning, directing and controlling the activities of the transport fleet, booking in deliveries and collections, instructing drivers and ensuring the department complies with health and safety legislation.
We are keen to speak with driven and self-motivated candidates who have previous experience of planning / running trucks in Europe. You must also have previous experience in a similar role for a transport, freight or logistics company.
Duties of the Transport Planner:
Dealing with import and export documentation
Dealing with customer’s enquiries/queries
Ensuring the department provides a quality first class service to the customer though careful planning
Skills and experience required for the Transport Planner:
Dealing with customers on a professional manner
Must have the ability to multi task
IT Literate – Excel and Word are essential
Experience in planning European trailers
