Gallery Registrar – London £22-24K VR/21759
Our client, a well-established gallery in London, are looking for a Registrar to join their team.
This role will be based from home initially with a view of being based back in the gallery as soon as possible.
Main duties of the Gallery Registrar:
- Obtaining competitive quotes and summarising for sales team
- Negotiating rates and quotes and tracking all internal, external and fair costs via excel shipping docs
- Obtaining important proof of export documentation according to HMRC regulations
- Liaising with shipping companies, customs agents, for set up and dismantle of all events/fairs
- Checking quotes against shipping related invoices received from the accounts department
- Lead logistics coordinator for all fairs and exhibitions, leading changeovers, and point of contact for assisting with physical setup and dismantle as it applies
- Creating and distributing Authenticity Certificates as required
- Responsible for the creation of all condition reports and obtaining accompanying images as proof
Skills/Experience required for the Gallery Registrar:
- You must have worked in a similar role either in a gallery, fine art shipper or logistics company
- Have knowledge of Import/Export shipping documentation
- Be able to work 10am-7pm Monday to Friday
