Our client, one of the world’s largest integrated international container Transportation and Logistics companies, are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team based in Suffolk.
The role of the Accounts Assistant is to assist the Accounting Manager with day-to-day tasks such as preparing VAT returns and half year & year end reports.
Main duties of the Accounts Assistant:
Assist with the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses as required.
Support the Senior Logistics Accounting Assistant, assisting with monthly tasks when required.
Liaise with team members to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Ensure the accounting records for UK & Ireland companies are accurate and kept up to date.
Deal with all the bank accounts, keeping track of the outgoings and ensuring money spent matches the amount shown leaving the account.
Deal with purchase invoices such as B&A and travel & expense claims, processing them on the accounting system.
Oversee the fixed asset registers.
Undertake additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the finance manager.
To be the successful Accounts Assistant, you will need to be studying for, willing to start or have just completed an Accounting qualification.
You need to have strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office products.
We are keen to hear from self-motivated individuals who have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
