We are currently seeking a Customs Administrator for our client based in Cheshire, who provide international freight solutions.
As the Customs Administrator, you will prepare and process customs documentation such as import and export declarations, invoices, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
You will deal with the general day-to-day administration of the operations such as filing, data entry, creating relevant documentation and month end reports.
Main duties of the Customs Administrator:
Receive and check customer order boards to help determine origin of goods against data held.
Produce and process documentation such as Certificate of Origin, EUR1, ATR etc.
Liaise with clients, providing updates on customs clearance status, resolve any issues, and ensure a smooth import/export process.
Maintain accurate records of all customs-related transactions and documentation.
Identify customs-related issues, discrepancies, or delays, and find solutions to help minimize disruptions.
The successful Customs Administrator will have 1-2 years’ experience of Imports and Exports.
You will have knowledge of Import and Export Customs Clearance and have strong knowledge of FTAs, and the process to help determine the country of origin of products correctly.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have strong knowledge of MS packages such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Access.
