Our client, who specialise in Freight Forwarding through multimodal services, are currently seeking a Customs Clerk for their team based in Essex.
As the Customs Clerk, you will complete customs clearing and entries for all Air, Sea and Road Freight shipments, processing Import / Export declarations and obtaining necessary Bill of Ladings and correct Tariff headings.
Your role will be to create and manage all documentation as each case progresses, ensuring all data is kept up to date.
Other duties of the Customs Clerk:
Deal with general enquiries from Importers / Exporters, internal & external sources.
Ensure all documents that are received for Customs purposes are accurate.
Raise & pass invoices.
Calculate Duty and VAT costs.
Obtain payments from customers.
To be the successful Customs Clerk, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Customs and experience of CDS.
You will require knowledge of CSN, ETSF and CCS-UK.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have knowledge of various customs entries and have previously worked with Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders and Customs.
