A new opportunity has arisen for a FCL Seafreight Senior Operator to join our client based in Kent, who are a leading NVOCC for the Freight and Logistics industry.
The role of the FCL Seafreight Senior Operator is to handle all FCL services, collecting all correct documentation prior to the release/delivery of cargo.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be liaising with the internal department, and arranging haulage with shipping lines.
Other duties of the FCL Seafreight Senior Operator:
Chasing of customs clearance documents from customers prior to vessel arrival.
Ensuring email queries are answered in timely manner.
Securing payment cleared funds for duty/vat invoices prior to release/delivery of cargo.
Ensuring shipments are rated and invoiced correctly.
Processing supplier invoices
Filing and archiving of job files once complete
The successful FCL Seafreight Senior Operator will have knowledge / experience of FCL operations, as well as strong experience working in the Freight Forwarding industry.
We are keen to hear from self-motivated candidates who be IT literate, with an understanding of Excel spreadsheets.
