A new opportunity has arisen for a Junior Import / Export Operator for our client based in Essex, who specialise in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Logistics.
As the Junior Import / Export Operator, you will be monitoring both import and export shipments by sea services, intermodal and road.
You will also be building and developing strong working relationships with clients, reacting to any client requests and ensuring they are provided with first class customer service.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Ensure all deadlines and requirements are met per client.
Prepare client quotations.
Liaise with suppliers and partners to deliver a high level of service to clients.
Ensure all shipments are costed and invoiced correctly.
Deal with an queries regarding invoices.
Monitor supplier performance.
Ensure all files are properly managed.
Support senior management and provide assistance during staff absences or holidays.
The successful Junior Import / Export Operator will have good knowledge of Imports and Exports, as well as a good understanding of transport and legislative controls.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have the ability to adapt and implement new IT systems.
Having experience working within the Freight Forwarding industry would be a good attribute for this role.
