Our client, a Warehousing, Logistics and Freight Forwarding company are currently seeking a Ocean Import Freight Forwarder for their team based in Liverpool.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the role of Ocean Import Freight Forwarder
**Position Overview:**
As an Ocean Import Freight Forwarder, you will assume a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing the movement of freight, ensuring seamless logistics across diverse transportation channels. We seek an individual with a comprehensive grasp of freight forwarding, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and a determination to thrive and progress within our company.
**Responsibilities:**
– Facilitating Ocean Freight Import operations.
– Providing accurate quotes to both new and existing clients.
– Overseeing European Import/Export Road freight activities (preferred but not obligatory).
– Coordinating movements through Shipping lines, Agents, and Hauliers.
– Completing comprehensive customs entries (preferred but not mandatory).
– Employing HMRC CDS clearances (preferred but not mandatory).
– Managing accounts for specific clientele.
– Generating invoices for services rendered and managing supplier invoices.
– Utilising internal systems such as Descartes, FreightEx, etc.
– Establishing effective communication and collaboration with suppliers, including Hauliers and Shipping Lines.
**Key Skills & Requirements:**
– Proficient knowledge and experience in Freight Forwarding.
– Exceptional customer service, IT, administrative, and organisational proficiencies.
– Ability to troubleshoot and perform effectively under pressure.
– Demonstrated aptitude for teamwork coupled with exceptional time management abilities.
**Salary & Benefits:**
– Circa £26,500 (negotiable based on experience).
– Additional benefits include a 6% pension contribution and group life cover (four times salary).
