Our client, one of the best removals and storage companies based in Kent, are currently seeking a Removals General Manager to join their growing team.
As the Removals General Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the business.
You will lead and motivate the team, providing guidance and support to team members.
Your role will be to allocate the appropriate resources to jobs, ensuring you stay within the estimated costs, whilst ensuring the highest level of customer service is always being provided.
Other main duties of the Removals General Manager:
Deal with customer complains.
Produce quotes for clients, correctly pricing each job.
Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the team receive proper training.
Build and develop strong working relationships with partners and suppliers to enhance the company’s service capabilities.
Work alongside the marketing and sales team to help develop new business opportunities, coming up with promotional strategies and generating new leads.
Ensure the company’s vehicles are operating in accordance with legislation and regulations.
The successful Removals General Manager will have proven experience working in a managerial role within the Removals & Storage industry. Having experience working within the Haulage industry would be an advantage.
You will need to have good knowledge of removals processes, logistics, and best practices.
Knowledge and experience required:
Demonstrated track record of achieving business growth and profitability targets.
Ideally have an HGV licence.
Proficiency in using computer software – predominantly Microsoft Office.
