We are currently working with a Freight Forwarding and Logistics company who are seeking an LCL Export Operator for their team based in Essex.
As the LCL Export Operator, you will oversee the Export LCL process from start to finish, using the company in-house system to book containers with carriers and arrange transport with UK warehouses.
You will track and monitor the movement of LCL shipments, ensuring timely delivery and proactively addressing any potential delays or disruptions.
You will also be required to answer incoming calls in a timely manner, providing exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the export process for LCL shipments.
Main duties of the LCL Export Operator:
Prepare and process shipping documentation such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other required documents.
Provide carriers with bill of lading instructions prior to documentation cut.
LCL Quotations
Keep accurate records and maintain comprehensive files for each shipment.
Export Customs Entries
Calculate and negotiate freight rates and ensure cost-effective shipping solutions for clients.
Check everything is charged / costed correctly.
Ensure cost estimates are correctly entered on all jobs.
Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or requests.
The successful LCL Export Operator will have previous experience working in LCL Export operations within the Freight and Logistics industry.
You will need to have experience handling LCL shipments, and knowledge of shipping regulations, INCO terms, and customs procedures.
