A new opportunity has arisen for a Seafreight Export Operator to join our client, an International Freight company located in Essex.
The main purpose for the Seafreight Export Operator is to oversee the overall Seafreight export operations, booking cargo, arranging transportation, preparing documentation and ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods.
Your role will be to develop constructive relationships with customers and suppliers, regularly liaising with them to gather shipping instructions, verify cargo details, and address any queries or concerns.
Main responsibilities of the Seafreight Export Operator:
Oversee customs compliance.
Coordinate customs clearance procedures, working closely with customs brokers and authorities to facilitate smooth clearance and minimize delays.
Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to customers, proactively addressing any potential issues or delays.
Work closely with various stakeholders, including customers, carriers, and internal teams, to guarantee efficient shipment processes and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping in the company’s systems, maintaining up-to-date and organized files for each shipment.
The successful Seafreight Export Operator will have proven experience working in Seafreight operations, and a good operational know-how of FCL and LCL export procedures.
You must have strong experience working within the Freight industry.
