We are currently seeking a Senior Import Customs Clerk for our client based in Kent, who specialise in Freight Forwarding through multimodal services.
The role of the Senior Import Customs Clerk is to coordinate import customs clearances from start to finish, preparing documentation for import customs clearances, and completing all customs formalities correctly.
You will process and monitor import clearances, ensuring all goods are processed correctly and only released with HMRC permissions.
You will also liaise regularly with customers and consignees, Customs Authorises and Port Health.
The successful Senior Import Customs Clerk will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Customs and Imports, as well as knowledge / experience of CDS.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have previous experience working with Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders and Customs.
Experience required of the Senior Import Customs Clerk:
Knowledge of various customs entries.
Experience of Air, Road and Sea Freight clearances.
Knowledge of CNS, ETSF and CCS-UK.
