A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Manager to join our client, a well-established Transport and Logistics company based in Lincolnshire.
The main role of the Transport Manager is to lead and supervise a team of drivers and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
You will be working alongside the planning team to help ensure the smooth running of the operations, overseeing the routing and scheduling of deliveries, optimizing routes to minimize fuel consumption and transportation time.
Main duties of the Transport Manager:
Manage a fleet of vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance, repairs, and compliance with regulations.
Support the planning team with driver’s hours and the management of timesheets.
Ensure customer processes are correctly followed for exports.
Assisting the planners with establishing strong working relationships with new and existing clients, helping promote the business.
Ensure all planes are delivered and any issues are communicated to the relevant person.
Address and resolve any transport-related issues in a timely manner.
Prepare and manage budgets, controlling costs while maintaining high service standards.
To be the successful Transport Manager, you will need to have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working within the Transport industry, as well as a Transport Managers CPC to be considered for this role.
You must have strong knowledge of transportation regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.
