Customer Service Administrator – Logistics – VR/21647 – 6 month contract
The Company & Role:
Our client, a leading distributor of minerals, are currently seeking a Customer Service Administrator to join their team in Purfleet for a fixed 6 month period.
The role will provide an efficient administration service to a busy logistics and customer service office.
Main duties include:
- Receive and process UK customer orders
- Receive electronic orders from teams located in various countries, process them and meet delivery deadlines
- Use on site systems for controlled management of traffic and visitors
- Raise loading notes and despatch notes for both UK and Export markets
- Create quality certificates and certificates of conformity
- Arrange and send samples via appropriate means
- Liaise with loading team
- Chase carriers for updates of data in TMS (Transport Management System) and work alongside carriers, freight forwarders and shipping agent to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
- Support the Maritime Export Administrator by sending and answering e-mails/calls/requests from internal customers
- Welcome drivers and ensure that the safety induction completed
Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong administration and customer services background
- Computer literate, including excel
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs
- SAP Experience
Desirable:
- Logistics/export background
- Formal qualification in international trade, export logistics or similar
- Language skills (Basic French, Spanish, Polish etc) to aid liaison with drivers
- Administrative experience and/or qualification
- Able to work to flexible time requirements
- Previous work experience in a despatch/logistics environment
Normal hours 08:00 to 16:00 but must be flexible to work any 8 hour shift within the hours of 06:00 and 22:00 (including 1h lunch).
Salary: 25k – 30k depending on experience
